Preventable injuries are the number one killer of kids in the U.S. A child dies around the world every 30 seconds from an unintentional injury. Luckily, this is a problem we can fix with simple awareness and planning to help avoid these types of injuries. Safe Kids is an organization dedicated to preventing injuries in children. They work with more than 400 coalitions throughout the U.S. and Three Rivers is proud to say we are one of them. Safe Kids Three Rivers (SK3R) is a group of public, private, and voluntary organizations working to prevent unintentional injuries to children in Dodge, Saunders, and Washington Counties. Safe Kids Three Rivers focuses on three major topics including child passenger safety, bicycle safety, and Countdown2Drive.
